Ben Smith (born May 16, 1990)[1] is a professional CrossFit athlete from Virginia, USA. He has competed at the CrossFit Games every year since 2009, winning in 2015,[2] and placing third in 2011 and 2013.

Smith is one of a select few athletes to make seven consecutive appearances in the Individual Division at the CrossFit Games. Only one athlete, Rebecca Voigt,[3] has made eight appearances and others to make seven appearances include Chris Spealler[4] and 2008 CrossFit Games champion[5] Jason Khalipa.[6]

Smith is the co-owner, founder, lead programmer, and coach at CrossFit Krypton[7] in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Smith was an avid baseball player throughout his childhood, and was introduced to CrossFit during his senior year of high school in 2008.[7] The next summer, he qualified for the CrossFit Games where he placed 64th out of 74 competitors.[8] He has won the Mid Atlantic Regional five times, and finished on the Games podium three times.
