Berkeley Everett is an American jazz pianist, well known for his association with vocalist Kalil Wilson. He has headlined Jazz Reggae Festival[1] , the Jazz Bakery [2] , UCLA Spring Sing, as well as numerous other venues and festivals in the Los Angeles area. In 2008 Everett graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Ethnomusicology and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in jazz piano at the Manhattan School of Music. Berkeley is a protégé of guitar legend Kenny Burrell.

Work with Kalil Wilson

In 2006, Berkeley was selected by vocalist Kalil Wilson to accompany him as a finalist in the first annual Jose Iturbi International Vocal Competition.[3] Following the competition, they continued their collaboration. In 2007, Wilson and Everett began work on a full-length debut album devoted to the American Songbook.

Easy to Love

Everett released his debut album, Easy to Love, in 2009, featuring vocalist Kalil Wilson backed by the Berkeley Everett Trio. It has been critically praised,[4] receiving support from Kenny Burrell and jazz radio stations like KKJZ 88.1 Los Angeles[5] and KCSM 91.1 San Francisco. Berkeley served as musical arranger, co-producer and audio engineer for the album, as well as contributing the only original composition to appear on Easy to love.
