Bernice Herstein (September 6, 1918 – November 8, 1950) was an American socialite, known as the wife of investor Seymour Durst and mother of their two children Robert Durst and Douglas Durst.[1]

Personal life

Bernice Herstein was born into a Jewish family from Germany in Scarsdale, Westchester County, USA.

Bernice Herstein married Seymour Durst in 1940.

She committed suicide by jumping off a building in 1950.

Robert Durst did not witness the suicide according to his brother Douglas Durst[2]

She rests at the Jewish cemetery Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hawthorne, Westchester County.[3]
