Bernt Lund

Bernt Lund (July 14, 1812 – October 30, 1885) was a Norwegian officer, road engineer, painter, and author.[1]

Lund was born in Våler, Hedmark.[1] He was married to the painter Hedevig Lund.[2] Later, he especially became known as the author of a poem about Knut from Trysil (used as an inspiration for the 1942 film Trysil-Knut).[3] His work is also featured in Christian Tønsberg's illustrated volume Norge fremstillet i Tegninger (Norway Presented in Drawings, 1846–1848).[4] He died in Christiania (now Oslo).[1]
