Bert Longstaff was an English footballer. He started his career at Shoreham, when he was 17.^[1] In 1907 he signed with Brighton & Hove Albion.^[2] He stayed with Brighton until 1923 during which time he won the Charity shield and also played in the clubs first year in the Football League Third Division South, his last season, 1922–23, with the club.^[1][3]

After he left Brighton he got permission from the F.A. to play as an amateur again for Shoreham, where he finished his footballing career.^[1]
