Betatorquevirus is a recently discovered genus in the new family of Anelloviridae, in group II in the Baltimore classification. It encompasses many type species of the virus formerly known as TLMV, TTV-like Minivirus or Torque Teno Mini virus.
The genus Betatorquevirus includes the type species Torque Teno Mini virus 1–9.
Clinical
From a number of cases of parapneumonic empyema Torque teno mini virus has been isolated.[1] Its clinical significance is as yet unclear.
