The emerald green betta or blue betta, Betta smaragdina, is a species of gourami native to Southeast Asia, where they are found in the basins of the Mekong and the Chao Phraya. This species grows to a length of 7 cm (2.8 in). This species is also found in the aquarium trade.[2]
