Nijlen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈnɛi̯lə(n)]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the towns of Bevel, Kessel and Nijlen proper. On January 1, 2006 Nijlen had a total population of 20,864. The total area is 39.09 km² which gives a population density of 534 inhabitants per km².
