Beverley Lyons

Beverley Lyons is an award winning Scottish entertainment journalist. She was part of "The Razz" team at the Scottish Daily Record newspaper covering Entertainment but left in 2016. She is a presenter on The MusicMatch for BBC Radio Scotland. In 2002 she was part of BBC Scotland radio show "Famous For Five Minutes", with comedians Craig Hill and Frankie Boyle. She holds a LAMDA certificate. She has been the voice of advertisements for The Scottish Chill Out Album, Julienne Taylor's album Music Garden and Irn Bru carnival. Lyons was nominated for "Entertainment Journalist" and "Multimedia Journalist" of The Year awards at the 2009 Scottish Press Awards, where she was runner-up in the latter category. Nominated again for "Multimedia Journalist" in 2010, she received the "New Media Journalist Of The Year" at the 2011 Scottish Press Awards.[1]

Lyons is the daughter of radio producer Ben Lyons and promoter Louise Rosenthal. Her sister Yvette is a Yorkshire Television producer.
