Bheeshmar is a 2003 Tamil crime film directed by Ranjith, making his directorial debut. The film features Ranjith and Devayani in lead roles. The film, produced by Ranjith's wife Priya Raman, had musical score by S. P. Venkatesh and was released on 27 September 2003.[1]
Plot
Bheeshmar (Ranjith) is an honest and upright police officer. He is married to a naive village woman Gowri (Devayani) and they have a girl. Bheeshmar is transferred to a new department which is filled of corrupt policemen. Soon, Inspector Bheeshmar clashes with the policemen Aadhi (Ilavarasu) and Dhandapani (Vasu Vikram), the assistant commissioner Singampuli (Sadiq) and the heartless don R.K (Rami Reddy).As a result he was arrested and put into jail. His wife sells her kidney for the advocate expenses to release him. After that also he end up fighting with rowdies while bringing the medicine for his wife. So that he was not able to make it at right time so his wife died.Without even thinking he again fight and kills.So again arrested and brought by police van. In the traffic signal he sees his daughter begging for food. His daughter tries to run towards his van and meanwhile accident happens to her.
