Bhimreddy Narasimha Reddy

Comrade Bhimireddy Narasimha Reddy was a freedom fighter and a leader of the Telangana Rebellion, fighting for the liberation of the Telangana region of Hyderabad State from the oppressive rule of the Nizam. He belonged to Nalgonda district of today's Telangana.

Career

He was a member of the Communist Party of India which led the peasant struggle that is famous as the Telangana Rebellion.

Born on 15-March-1922 at Kasarlapadu village , near Thungathurhi, Nalgonda. 

The rebellion was led under the banner of Andhra Mahasabha by the Communist Party of India.

He was well known as Comrade B.N. among the cadres of the party.

He continued as a member of the Communist Party of India till 1964 and took the side of the splinter group, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M) then. He was elected to the state assembly from Nalgonda district.

When he was suspended by the CPI(M), he joined the Marxist Communist Party of India.

Death

He died in 2008 - May 9th .
