Bhumidhar Barman
Dr Bhumidhar Barman is an Indian Politician belonging to the Indian National Congress. He was the Chief Minister of Assam from April 22, 1996 to May 14, 1996.[1] He has been a member of the Assam Legislative Assembly being elected 7 times. He was first elected in 1967.[2][3][4] Recently Bhumidhar Barman has admitted of paying money to suspected terrorist Riazul Islam Choudhury for building a Madrassa in the state.[5]
In 2015, he was made a Cabinet Minister of Assam.
