Big Beat (Czech: Šakalí léta) is Czech musical comedy of Jan Hřebejk from 1993. It take place at 1959 in Prague's Hotel International.
Plot
Set in 1959, an "young hooligan from nowhere" calling himself 'Baby' disrupts the peaceful small-town atmosphere with his eccentric clothes, guitar and a passion for rock 'n' roll. He affects both the children and the adults trying to ignore the uneasy times they have to live in.
