Billy Bloomfield was an English football inside left who played in the Football League for Brentford.[2]
Career
Bloomfield joined Division Three South side Brentford at a young age and made his debut in April 1957, in a 2-2 draw with West London rivals Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.[3] He made one further first team appearance against Coventry City in September 1957.[4] Bloomfield spent much of his time at Griffin Park playing for the reserves, scoring 28 goals in 98 appearances.[5] Bloomfield retired in 1959, due to failing eyesight.[5]
Personal life
Bloomfield's older brother Jimmy was also a professional footballer.[5]
