William Billy Day (born 27 December 1936 in Middlesbrough) is a former footballer who played for Middlesbrough and Newcastle United.

Billy Day started his senior career with Middlesbrough in 1955. He made his debut against Leicester City in October that year. Day was a winger who became very popular with the Middlesbrough supporters. He broke his leg in a training match at Hutton Road and lost his place in the Boro team but soon returned to the squad. However, his leg didn't heal properly and manager Bob Dennison agreed to a transfer request and he joined local rivals Newcastle United and scored on his debut. The leg trouble returned, however, and Day was again on his way to league newcomers Peterborough.
