Development

After the heads behind the German Disney Channel were able to convince the US parent company Disney of it to be allowed to produce its own series, searched she a concept for the series.[5] The production company UFA Fiction (to August 2013 still teamWorx) had prevailed with his concept under the working title Binny und der Geist in a pitch against other production companies.[6] The idea for the series came from UFA fiction producer Steffi Ackermann and the author Vivien Hoppe. The casting of the actors is carried out by Daniela Tolkien.[7] On 8 November 2012, the production of a pilot episode of Binny and the Ghost was confirmed.

Filming

The reason for the long filming is among other things because they could be filmed mainly with the main actors only in the school holidays.[6] The filming of the second season began on 13 March 2015 and go until the end of 2015.[8][9] One Episode of the second season was filmed in the zoo on the Reilsberg in Halle.[10]
