Bite Me (Song)

Bite Me

Bite Me is a horror song by "Weird Al" Yankovic. It originally appeared a hidden track on Yankovics's 1992 album Off the Deep End. The song consists of very loud noises and Yankovic screaming. It was only six seconds long. The track appeared after 10 minutes of the final track ("You Don't Love Me Anymore"). However, Bite Me wasn't included on the cassette version of the album (It was on the CD version only). The track was included as a parody of Nirvana's hidden track on the album Nevermind, but also to scare listeners into turning off the CD.[1] This idea was considered to be funny by Al because the first song on the album is a parody of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, which appears on the same album and the cover of Off The Deep End is a parody of the Nevermind cover.

Usage in media

The Weird Al Show

3 seconds of Bite Me can be heard towards the end of most episodes of the short-lived "The Weird Al Show". This version is far less compressed and the volume was lowered down to the volume of most of Yankovic's songs.
