Black Hawk is an unincorporated community located in Carroll County, Mississippi, approximately 20 miles (32 km) southeast of Greenwood on Mississippi Highway 430 and approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Acona.
Black Hawk is part of the Greenwood, Mississippi micropolitan area.
Black Hawk is annually home to Carroll County's political fair, "Black Hawk's Old Fashioned Political Rally". The event is held every year on the last Saturday in June at the Black Hawk schoolhouse at the intersection of Mississippi roads 17 & 430. A barbecue is held adjacent to the political rally by the local chapter of the Council of Conservative Citizens, and the fair itself features live musical performances by local bands; and political candidates for local, state, and occasional federal offices for the county and for Mississippi may introduce their political platform through a live presentation or speech on the grounds of the historic Black Hawk schoolhouse during the fair.
