Blackhawks Over Los Angeles is the sixth studio album by Strung Out, released by Fat Wreck Chords on June 12, 2007. The band filmed a music video for the song "Calling" for the album.

On May 8, 2007 the song "Calling" was released on the band's MySpace, and has received much positive feedback from fans. The song was also featured on episode 10, titled "Puerto Rico", of the MTV show, Nitro Circus and in the videogame Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.

The first 5000 copies of the album include a bonus song titled "More Than Words". Another bonus song is included with the iTunes release, titled "Novella".
