Blakstad is a village which is the administrative centre of the municipality of Froland in Aust-Agder county, Norway. It is located along the river Nidelva, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northwest of the city of Arendal.[1] The village has grown together with the neighboring village of Osedalen, and the combined population (2009) is 2,083. The village area covers about 2.15 square kilometres (0.83 sq mi).[2]
The Arendal Line, a branch of the Sørland Line and part of the Norwegian State Railways stops at the Blakstad Station.
