Blatta is a genus of cockroaches.
Species include:
- B. orientalis Linnaeus, 1758: Oriental cockroach
- B. lateralis (F. Walker, 1868):[1] Turkestan cockroach or red runner

The name blatta represents a specialised use of Latin blatta, meaning a light-shunning insect.[3]
