Body Hound are an instru-math entity consisting of two ex-members of Rolo Tomassi and one ex-member of Antares.[1] Combining elements of instrumental rock, math rock, jazz, classic rock and prog, they have toured with the likes of Deafheaven, Crash of Rhinos, Enemies and Alright the Captain.
They released their debut album “Rhombus Now” on Holy Roar Records in August 2014.
Musical Style
Their sound is characterised by the changing time signatures and polyrhythms associated with math rock. The band themselves have described their sound as "Yes (70s prog band - ask your Dad) playing Meshuggah songs"[2] Their progressive tendencies has also lead to comparisons being drawn with "King Crimson, Rush or Steve Howe.[3]"
