Bohipora or Buhipora is a village[lower-alpha 1] in Kupwara District in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the 2011 census of India, the village had a population of 2,563 people (1,319 males; 1,244 females).[2]
The Government Degree College in Kupwara has been located at Bohipora since 2000.[3]
Description
Bohipora is adjacent to Regipora. The village contains two bridges, Pumpshed, connecting Bohipora with Kupwara, and Gushi Kadal, connecting Bohipora with Gushi. After 2010 floods, which made the people to abandon their homes, some steps were taken to improve the security of the village by creating bundhs and a bridge was allotted. In case of bridge it had been almost 3 years ago but that is still incomplete.Bund work has been done to avoid flood damage.
