Hyderabad's light rail transportation system Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) is yet to be introduced in Bolarum. After the Union Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure approved the upgradation of railway infrastructure for introduction of Phase II of Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) in the twin cities, the work on the Secunderabad - Bolarum stretch was supposed to start in March–April 2012 but it hasn't been taken up by the South Central Railway yet.

The state-owned TSRTC runs the city bus service, connecting to all the major parts of the city. It is 10 km from Secunderabad Central Railway Station and 12 km from Begumpet Airport & 41 km from New International Airport at Shamshabad. It is the most preferred mode of transport here as the local trains are very few, very slow and are always late and they take double the time to reach Secunderabad than the buses.
