Born to Sing (En Vogue album)
Born to Sing is the debut studio album from American R&B group En Vogue, released in 1990 on Atlantic Records.
The album peaked at number twenty-one on the Billboard 200 chart. By October 1990, it was certified platinum in sales by the RIAA, after sales exceeding 1,000,000 copies in the United States.
Release and reception
The album peaked at twenty-one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and reached the third spot on the R&B Albums chart.[6] The album was certified gold in June 1990 and platinum by October that same year.[7]
Jose F. Promis of AllMusic gave the album a positive review, calling the work "a winner" though remarking that he felt tracks such as "Just Can't Stay Away" and "Part of Me" were duds.[1]
