Bothrops microphthalmus, or the small-eyed toad-headed pitviper, is a species of venomous snake in the Viperidae family.[2] It is endemic to northwestern South America.[3]

Geographic range

It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia (countries listed from north to south).

The type locality is "between Balsa Puerto and Moyabamba, Peru".[1]
