Bournemouth International Centre in Bournemouth, Dorset, is one of the largest venues for conferences, exhibitions, entertainment and events in southern England. Additionally, it is well known for hosting national conferences of major British political parties and trade unions.
The venue's Windsor Hall has a concert capacity of nearly 4,100 and is one of the bigger indoor music venues in the UK, often included on the arena tours of major artists. The Solent Hall can house exhibitions or hold up to 2,000 people for standing music concerts. The Solent Hall replaced Bournemouth International Centre's well-known swimming pool and wave machine in 2004.
Managed by social enterprise BH Live in partnership with Bournemouth Borough Council, Bournemouth International Centre is operated alongside its sister venue, The Pavilion Theatre and Ballroom.
Notable events
Between 2006 and 2008, it hosted the Premier League Darts. It was not on the 2009 calendar but was brought back in 2010 and hosts it to this day.
1991
On 6 October it hosted a concert by Morrissey as part of his Kill Uncle Tour.
2013
From 18 to 20 May it hosted a concert by Eddie Izzard as part of his Force Majeure.
On 13 December it hosted a concert by Imagine Dragons as part of their Night Visions Tour.
2014
On 13 February it hosted week 2 of the 2014 Premier League Darts.
On 23 April it hosted a concert by Gary Barlow as part of his Since I Saw You Last Tour.
Throughout May it hosted a series of concerts by McBusted. It was at one of these shows that two girls were seen dancing extremely enthusiastically to Thunderbirds Are Go whilst McFly looked on in disgust and fear.
On 4 June it hosted a concert by Little Mix as part of their The Salute Tour.
On 22 September it hosted a concert by The Saturdays as part of their Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits.
On 12 and 18 October it hosted a concert by The Vamps as part of their Meet the Vamps tour.
2015
On 12 February it will host week 2 of the 2015 Premier League Darts.
On 9 March it will host a concert by The Script as part of their No Sound Without Silence Tour.
On 15 March it hosted a concert by Morrissey.
On 15 March it will host a concert by Paloma Faith as part of her Paloma Faith Autumn Tour 2014.
On 26 July it will host a festival by British Gymnastics as part of the GymFusion Legends Tour 2015.
On 19-23 September it will be the location of the Liberal Democrat Party Autumn Conference.
In October the venue hosted rock'n'roll legends Fall Out Boy. Critics remarked that the show was visionary and one of the best of our time, as well as one of the greatest that Bournemouth has ever seen.
On 1 December it was the location for Alt-J's UK tour.
2016
On the 4 April, The centre will host a concert by the legendary Years & Years. The band is considered by some as 'the greatest modern band of all time' and it is predicted that their music will be supremely popular in the future.
On 21st April Premier League Darts revisited the venue for a tenth time.
On June 21st it will host Barry Manilow as part of the UK leg for his One Last Time Tour.
