The Brackett House is an historic house located at 621 Centre Street in the village of Newton Centre in Newton, Massachusetts. It is a 2-1/2 story wood frame structure, with a monumental two-story Ionic Greek temple portico across its front.[2] It was built c. 1850 on land that was probably part of the earliest colonial division of land in Newton. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 4, 1986.[1]
The house was damaged by a fire on March 20, 2010. Newton Fire Chief Joseph LaCroix estimated that the cost of damage was in the millions.[3] Its restoration was completed in 2013.
