Bradley C. Harrison is a venture capitalist, business development executive, and professional networker.[1] He is the founder and managing partner of Scout Ventures,[2] a venture capital firm that enables entrepreneurs to build great businesses by providing the strategic support and capital necessary to grow and reach new markets. Harrison specializes in early stage companies with a focus on media, technology, and entertainment. He holds three US patents in the search space, is a Distinguished Honor Graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point,[3] and has an MBA in New Product and Venture Development from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He resides in New York City with his wife, Angie; son, Elvis; and daughter, Scout.

Early life and education

Bradley C. Harrison attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1990-1994.[3]

Harrison then attended the MIT Sloan School of Management from 1999-2001 where he graduated with an MBA in New Product and Venture Development.

Career

In 2006, he founded his own venture firm, Brad Harrison Ventures. As an evolution of BHV, he launched the BHV Entrepreneurship Fund to focus on early-stage venture capital. The Entrepreneurship Fund is focused on providing strategic capital to start-ups and start-overs with a Media, Technology and Entertainment focus. In August 2013, Harrison rebranded BHV to Scout Ventures.[4] Previous investments include Social Weekend.[5]

Patents

While at AOL, Harrison collaborated with his boss and mentor, Edmund J. Fish, to file and receive three patents in the search space.
