Racing Career

UARA-STARS Series

The one notable event from McReynolds' UARA-STARS tenure was the 2009 Bailey's 300 at Martinsville Speedway. Jake Crum won the race, with McReynolds finishing second. However, McReynolds slammed Crum after the race, saying, "I knew the 1 (Crum) had been jumping restarts, and he probably was going to run the 6 (Poole) up. So I just slide back a little bit and got a real good restart. Jake did a good job. He's got the checkered flag, but I didn't agree (with his tactics), running into the 44 (Matt DiBenedetto), running into me, running me down a little bit. Some people would say I wimped out when he ran me down, but I'm just trying to take care of my stuff. I didn't come up here to wreck it. He got the job done, he's wearing the Baileys hat, I wasn't born to race like that, but it don't mean other people can't." Crum responded by saying, "We walked away with the checkered flag, and he (McReynolds) says he doesn't agree with the way I got there. I was patient, I had a good car, I had the better car, and he was just trying to run over me using his brake. That's cool, other than that, I don't really care for him. I don't agree with what he did on the backstretch and I'm not going to shake his hand." McReynolds admitted to attempting to make contact with Crum after the race as a form of retaliation. "He (McReynolds) turned right into me, and jumped up on side of the car, and then he stood in the gas and tore my whole side of the car off. I don't agree with stuff like that", Crum was quoted as saying. McReynolds confessed his guilt, saying the following to a reporter; "I don't know, man. It's hot in there. Some of us are aggravated. I just went up close to him, I was actually going to kind of swerve at him a little bit. He swerved we got into each other. Maybe his fenders were torn up a little more than mine. I didn't mean to even get into him. After the race, everybody's got to do a little something, especially when they're a little ticked off. He (Crum) did a good job. I just don't agree with how he got there."[2]

K&N Pro Series

McReynolds made a combined total of 44 starts, 29 in the West, 15 in the East from 2011 to 2015. He scored a best finish of third twice in the East, and won two races in the West series in 2015. Both wins came from the pole at Iowa.[3] [4] [5]

ARCA Racing Series

McReynolds logged seven starts from 2010 to 2012, emerging victorious once, at Talladega Superspeedway in 2012. The last lap was the only lap that he led in that race.[6]

Camping World Truck Series

In his one start in the series, McReynolds finished 18th at Texas Motor Speedway in 2012. [7]

Xfinity Series

McReynolds made his Xfinity (then Nationwide) debut in 2010, finishing 19th in Eddie Smith's Dodge. It would be another six years before his next start, a 23rd at Talladega for JGL Racing. His dad Larry was in the booth for FOX broadcasting the race.[8][9]

Personal Life
