Brent Skoda (born 1985 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States of America) is an American businessman, the Entrepreneurs Organization's 2010 Global Student Entrepreneur award winner, founder of CollegeFitness.com and Chairman of Ahkeo Ventures.[1]
Early life and education
Skoda began day trading stocks during his fourth year of elementary schooling during recess at Hawken School and by age fifteen he was designing and executing client acquisition strategies for Merrill Lynch’s Private Client Group. Skoda's tertiary education began at Wright State University, from where he transferred to the Texas Christian University (TCU) to study entrepreneurship. Whilst studying at TCU he launched CollegeFitness.com,[1] for which Skoda won the 2010 Entrepreneurs Organization's Global Student Entrepreneur Award.[1]

Skoda started the following businesses:
- CollegeFitness.com, which provides fitness and health related services to members
- Skoda International, which developed and markets the instant hand sanitizer Purely Inspired
- Santas411.com, which promoted holiday shopping deals
- GlobalEZBuy, which imports and retails consumer electronics
- Ahkeo Ventures, a venture capital group
- Yumee, which developed Smartphone applications and a website designed to assist users in making informed dietary choices whilst eating out
- Legacy Builders & Contractors, a Dallas-based, nationwide roofing contractor with innovative insurance claim processing and adjusting services
- Ahkeo Electric, a manufacturer of energy efficient electrical lighting products
Skoda served as Vice President of Marketing at Joshen Paper, where he was instrumental in positioning Wal-Mart as a major customer.
Awards, accolades and notable memberships
Skoda is the 2010 winner of the Entrepreneurs Organization's Global Student Entrepreneur award[1] and he is the 2010 winner of the Texas Christian University’s (TCU) Entrepreneur of the Year award. In 2012 Skoda was nominated as a Top 30 Entrepreneurs Under 30 by Empact[2][3] and Ahkeo Ventures is included in the 2012 Empact100 List.[2] CollegeFitness.com is featured in Inc Magazine’s 2010 Coolest College Start Ups.[4]
Skoda is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO-WPO) and the Young Entrepreneurs Council (YEC).
Speaking events and television appearances
Skoda has featured as a speaker and guest at numerous events, the most notable including; being a guest on the on Fox News Varney & Company,[5] being the concluding speaker at White House Press Conference announcement of the Start Up America[6][7] initiative and being the keynote speaker at United States President Obama’s follow on initiative to Start Up America in Algiers, Algeria.[8][9] Skoda was a featured speaker at the GSEA 2012 in Moscow, Russia.[9][10]
Diplomatic involvements
Skoda has acted in a diplomatic role on behalf of the US State Department by acting as the US G20 Youth Ambassador, serving in Toronto, Canada, Nice, France and Mexico City, Mexico.[9] Skoda is also the US Youth Delegate for a US State Department initiative in Cairo, Egypt.[9][11]
