Brett Elizabeth Anderson (born May 30, 1979 in Bloomington, Indiana[2]) is the lead vocalist of rock band The Donnas. She also goes by the name Donna A.[3] Anderson is the only member of The Donnas who is not a native Californian.
Anderson was born on May 30, 1979, in Bloomington, Indiana. She moved to Palo Alto, California in the 7th grade. She met future bandmates Tory Castellano, Maya Ford and Allison Robertson in junior high school.[4] They formed a band in 8th grade called Ragady Anne, later calling themselves The Electrocutes at Palo Alto High School.[5]
