Brezje pri Trebelnem (pronounced [ˈbɾeːzjɛ pɾi tɾɛˈbeːu̯nɛm]) is a small settlement in the Municipality of Mokronog–Trebelno in southeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.[2]
Name
The name of the settlement was changed from Brezje to Brezje pri Trebelnem in 1953.[3]
Cultural heritage
A Late Bronze Age settlement with an associated burial ground with 31 burial mounds has been identified near the settlement.[4]
