Brian Brivati

Brian Brivati is a professor of contemporary history at Kingston University and a writer.[1]

Brivati has had articles published in The Guardian, The Times, the Financial Times, The Independent on Sunday, The Observer, the New Statesman, Progress, The Fabian Review and Parliamentary Brief. He has published extensive work on contemporary British politics with an emphasis on the political history of the British Labour party. He has also written biographies of both Lord Goodman and Hugh Gaitskell and edited several works concerning the Labour Party and Michael Foot,[1] and has appeared as a political commentator on BBC Radio 4.[2]

He is currently a director of the John Smith memorial trust.[3]
