Brian Lawrence Malkinson (born 1985) is a Canadian politician who was elected in the Alberta general election, 2015 to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta representing the electoral district of Calgary-Currie.[1][2]

He currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts. He previously served as a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund.

Mr. Malkinson is originally from British Columbia. He obtained a degree in science from Simon Fraser University, where he was, for a time, the president of the Interactive Arts and Technology Student Union.

He is employed in the heavy-equipment industry as a salesman at a heavy-duty engine supplier since making a career change from working as a designer/analyst for Internet start-ups.

Mr. Malkinson currently resides in Calgary, where he enjoys car restoration, music, art and recreational sports. [3]
