* Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only and correct as of Brian started off as a junior with watford fc and later transferred to reading fc. Whilst at reading signed professional contract in 1986. He was part of the squad that won promotion from div 3 to div 2.After spending a couple of years he then transferred to play in the finland national league where he played for mikkelin palloilijat. He also played in the new zealand national competition with mount maunganui where he spent 4 seasons. He also had a stint in the australian national league with sunshine george cross. In this time he represented new zealand at full international level. He ended his career off playing in the australian premier league with sunshine george cross and springvale city.. |
Brian Roberts is a former football (soccer) player who represented New Zealand at international level.[1]
Roberts played two official A-international matches for the New Zealand in 1991,[1] both against trans-Tasman rivals Australia, the first as a substitute in a 0-1 loss on 12 May. He started the match for his second and final appearance and scored New Zealand's goal in a 1-2 loss on 12 May 1991.[2][3]
