Brighton Central School District
The Brighton Central School District is a public school district in New York State that serves approximately 3,700 students in portions of the towns of Brighton and Pittsford[1] in Monroe County with over 600 employees and an operating budget of $60,547,645.[2]
The average class size is 20 students and the student-teacher ratio is 12:1 (elementary), 11:1 (middle-high school).[2]
Kevin McGowan is the current Superintendent of Schools.
Thomas Hall is the current principal of Brighton High School
Board of education
The Board of Education has seven elected members. Members serve overlapping three-year terms with two to three seats up election each year. The current boards members (2010) are:
