Broca's region describes a contemporary reconceptualization of "Broca's area" as an anatomical subdivision of the human brain that spans a larger portion of the left hemisphere's inferior frontal gyrus (IFG).[1] In addition to the two gyral regions classically considered to constitute Broca's area (pars triangularis and pars opercularis), Broca's region includes pars orbitalis, the anterior portion of the left IFG.
