Bruce Jurgens (born July 11, 1965 in San Diego, California, United States) is a filmmaker and entrepreneur. Jurgens founded and co-founded several production houses. Jurgens is also the Chairman of EMERALD Group, a Social entrepreneurship program which attempts to use business practices to address societal problems within education.[2]

Early life

Jurgens was born in San Diego, California then after one year old moved to Washington DC where he lived until he was a young teen. Returning from high school in Miami he then attended American University, Georgetown University, and studied fine arts at Corcoran College of Art and Design.[3]

Career

His first few CGI films were simple experiments and animation of 2d and 3d elements that were later used for several national advertising campaigns for MCI and BMW.

Jurgens specializes in managing complex visual effects sequences, directing heavy / intensive effect on both "A" level feature films and nationally broadcast commercial campaigns.[4]

his entertainment company Legion Entertainment LLC completed work on Battle: Los Angeles, Monster House at Sony Pictures in Los Angeles. Other work by Jurgens includes The Day After Tomorrow, Babe, and X-Men.[5]
