Brunei national rugby sevens team
The Brunei national rugby union sevens team is the rugby sevens side for Bruneian rugby union players. They currently compete in the IRB Asian Sevens Series.
They are traditionally seen as "minnows" . For example, in the 1989 Hong Kong Sevens, they lost 52-0 to Australia,[1] who managed to score nine tries against them.[2] Results have improved gradually since then culminating in victories over Laos [3] and Indonesia [4] during the inaugural IRB Asian Sevens Series in 2009.
More recently they have competed in the 2016 Borneo 7s in Sandakan and Singapore SEA 7s 2016 with considerable success placing 6th out of 8, above Singapore development and Indonesia.
