Brunfelsamidine is a poisonous plant derivative found in several plants from the Brunfelsia family, which has convulsant and neurotoxic effects.[1] It is a fairly common cause of poisoning among domestic animals that eat the plant such as cows and dogs. Symptoms are similar to poisoning from strychnine and can last from a few hours up to several days.[2]
