Bruno Cassinari
Bruno Cassinari (1912–1992) was an Italian painter and sculptor, active in a style mixing cubist and expressionist elements.
Biography
He was born in Piacenza and died in Milan. He trained as a painter in the Brera Academy under Aldo Carpi. In 1946, he helped found the Fronte Nuovo delle Arti, an association aiming to restore optimism to post-war Italian art. Other members were Renato Birolli, Renato Guttuso, Ennio Morlotti, Leonardo Leoncillo, and Alberto Viani.[1]
