Bryan Giovanni Róchez Mejía (born 1 January 1995) is a Honduran professional footballer who plays as forward for Orlando City B in the USL on loan from Orlando City and the Honduran national team.
Club career
Real España
Róchez made his senior debut for Real C.D. España in 2012. During the 2013–14 season Róchez scored 20 league goals for Real C.D. España to finish as the second highest goalscorer in the Liga Nacional de Honduras.[1][2][3]
Orlando City
Orlando City beat multiple other MLS teams to secure the signing of Róchez ahead of the 2015 season.[4] He was made one of their designated players alongside Kaká and Carlos Rivas. For their first match on 8 March 2015, a 1–1 home draw against fellow newcomers New York City FC, Róchez entered as a substitute in the 80th minute in place of Lewis Neal.[5] Róchez scored his first goal for Orlando City on 13 September 2015, in a 3–1 win against Sporting Kansas City.
He was loaned to Orlando City B in March 2016.[6]
International career
Róchez has been capped by Honduras up to senior level. He won the gold medal with the national under-20 team at the 2013 Central American Games.
He was called up to represent Honduras for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. He scored two goals, including the game winner, in their first Group F match, a 4–3 win over Uzbekistan.[7]
