Brynley F. Roberts

Dr Brynley F(rancis) Roberts, CBE, DLitt, MA, PhD, FLSW (born 1931), known as Bryn Roberts, is a Welsh scholar and literary critic. He has written extensively on the Welsh language and Celtic history. He was Professor of Welsh Language and Literature at the University of Wales, Swansea from 1978 to 1975, and Librarian of the National Library of Wales from 1985 to 1994. He was made editor of the Dictionary of Welsh Biography in 1987, and of Y Traethodydd in 1999.[1]

Roberts is a member of the council of the Anrhydeddus Gymdeithas y Cymmrodorion.[2] He is also involved in the Morfa Chapel, Aberystwyth, part of the Presbyterian Church of Wales.[3]
