Buchanan High School is an Additional Support Needs School in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire. Buchanan High School is in the area of Townhead in Coatbridge. Buchanan High School shares a campus with St Ambrose RC High School and Townhead Community Centre. Buchanan High School has over 100 pupils. The former name for Buchanan High School was Drumpark School. [1]

History of Buchanan High

Buchanan High School opened on 5 November 2012. In 2013 and 2014 seasons Buchanan High Football Team have won Two League Titles but Four League Titles all together Two as Drumpark School and Two as Buchanan High. The building and facilities are the best in Scotland says North Lanarkshire Councillors because of the 21 century program and because the 3G/4G pitches are used by the Buchanan High School, St Ambrose RC High School and the Pitches are also you's for football tournaments and teams train on the pitches plus Buchanan High Football team use the pitches to train. Ryan Boyd who is a pupil that attends Buchanan High made history by carrying the Queen's Baton for the Commonwealth Games on Monday 23 June 2014. On Wednesday 22 April 2015 the Football Team won the Scottish Disability 5 a side tournament they won the Junior A Group.
