Bucie (born Busisiwe Nolubabalo Nqwiliso, 10 March 1987)[1] is a South African R&B and House singer. Her 2014 "Easy To Love" single peaked at number 9 on South Africa's official music chart.[2]

Early life

She was born in Kimberley and grew up in Klerksdorp where she led the choir at her church.[3]

Career beginning (2007)

When she was enrolled at the Central Johannesburg College, the music lecturer, Thandukwazi "Demor" Sikhosana recruited Nqwiliso to his newly formed label Demor Music.[4]

Claim to prominence

Demor Sikhosana wrote, produced and released her first local hit Song 'Ngicelindoda' taken from a Demor produced full-length album rockstar in 2007. Demor orchestrated her collaboration with Black Coffee in the hit single "Turn Me On" which was released and licensed to German label Gogo Music in 2007 with remixes by renowned producers like Ralf Gum which became the No.1 single on Traxsource.[5]

Personal life

She is a single mother to her son Xolani (born in 2006).
