Amietophrynus funereus is a species of toad in the family Bufonidae. It is known commonly as the Angola toad or somber toad. This species is found in Angola, Burundi, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Rwanda, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
