Bura, Tana River County
Bura is a town on the Tana River in Tana River County, Kenya.
Nearby places include Tula, Hola, and Ijara.
Bura has one of the few bridges across the Tana River for access to Garissa County and the north-eastern region of Kenya. There are two Bura Town population clusters, Bura West and Bura East, situated on either side of the Tana River. There is a security post and a local airstrip known as Bura East. Bura West has an irrigation scheme and a health centre.
Namesake
Bura Town shares a name with the Bura Sub-county in Taita-Taveta County, south of Wundanyi.
