Cova da Piedade Sports Club is a football club established in the parish of Cova da Piedade, municipality of Almada, Portugal.

History

It was founded on 28 January 1947. The foundation of Clube Desportivo da Piedade Cova resulted from the merger between the Union Piedense Football Club founded in 9 April 1914 and Sporting Clube Piedense. Its president is Paulo Veiga.

On 30 April 2016, Cova da Piedade were promoted for the first time ever to the second-tier after beating Angrense 2–1.

Stadium

Its stadium is Estadio Municipal José Martins Vieira (named after the former President of the Municipality of Almada) and has a capacity for 3,500 spectators. The stadium has a synthetic field that replaced the "old naked" pitch (clay) and is located at Estrada do Brejo.
