C. J. McDiarmid

Campbell Johnston McDiarmid (July 29, 1869 Barnesville, Ohio - May 13, 1942 Wyoming, Ohio), always known as C. J. McDiarmid,[1] was the owner of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team of the National League from 1927 through 1929. In 1927, McDiarmid, an attorney and the Reds' Secretary, purchased the club from Garry Herrmann. He sold the Reds to Sidney Weil in 1929. He is buried in Cincinnati's Spring Grove Cemetery.
